One of the final things that really stood out to me about this image is the brief text that is placed at the bottom of it. More specifically the fact that there is a chosen name associated with the man in the photo that being Wilson. What’s interesting about this is that rather than Simply Having a nameless African American man they have specifically chosen to show  Wilson’s name and the fact that he was a branded slave from Louisiana. This gives the image that much more authenticity as by stating that yes this is a real person whose name we can give you and was a slave means that what the image is showing is real and not false.
