When annotating, reading, and Responding to questions and thoughts on the reading. The way I figure out how to draw relationships to one another is by finding paragraphs in the paper or just sentences that spark some sort of thought from my brain. Then I usually right next to that highlighted sentence or paragraph what that thought was. The reason why I do this is it allows me to come back later and look at how much more broad scope of the article instead of looking at individual sentences. My writing down my thoughts and ideas when I have them it allows me to come back later and connect them to the overall scope of the article.  One example of this would be in  Charles Mann writing can  Earth feed 10 billion people.  One thing I highlighted was when Charles talks about how he wonders how the Earth will feed 10 billion people.  This sparked some thoughts as I was beginning to wonder if it was possible to feed that many people.  We see today that many things are struggling and that there’s large-scale malnutrition and lack of food. Another thing I highlighted in the same vein is when Charles talks about how he believes that eventually, Humanity will reach a point where every man and woman will have just enough children to replenish the species.  The reason why I connected these two together is that we may have to limit the number of children that are born sooner rather than later. As Charles previously States the lack of food and eventually Earth running out of it will make sure the population doesn’t grow too large.  One way of doing this would be by making sure only a certain number of babies are born. This way we have just enough people to replenish what we need without going over the Earth’s capacity.  Another essay that shows my strategy for this is what crow knows by Ross Anderson.  In this article, the main thing I tried to highlight with my ideas is that Ross provides an interesting example of how animals seem to grasp the concept of consciousness.  He talks about how summer is able to use tools and their environment to help better their survival.  Just got my attention in many of my notes that I jotted down on this paper I connect them to ideas that the animals are evolving similar to humans did.   As well as they two may one day develop to the same level humans are.
