The artifact I have chosen for standard 11 is my ISTE standard 2.6 project from my edu 110 class. For this assignment, we were told to pick a topic we were interested in and use a Book Creator to create a book about that topic. The issue I chose to write about was Second World War armored vehicles. This assignment aligns with CCTS 11 because of the possible indicators for standard 11 it talks about using technology to create and engage learners. The assignment that I chose is me creating a part of the lesson as well as designing a part that will hopefully help to improve learners and keep them engaged.
This project helps to expand my pedagogical knowledge and improve my future effectiveness as an educator because it allows me to begin dabbling with technology and how to implement it into a lesson plan. Before doing this assignment I’d always picture technology and the classroom as simply being slideshows or PowerPoints. However, what this project has shown me is that technology integration into the classroom doesn’t necessarily have to be so plain and simple. Teachers can go out and create their own specialized materials as I have to further their student’s education and help them better understand specific topics and lessons.

The second I have chosen for standard 11 is my ISTE standard my ISTE Student Standards Learning Experience. For this assignment, we were told to pick a topic of our choosing and write a lesson plan based on that. The lesson plan had to in some way incorporating technology. As well we also had to choose one or more of the ISTE standards as well as one of the bases of Maine State learning standards. This aligned with CCTS 11 because standard 11 it talks design and implementing technology. When making my lesson plan I had to design the lesson plan but also had to find a way to implement the technology.
This project helps to expand my pedagogical knowledge and improve my future effectiveness as an educator because it allows me to begin to make lesson plans that incorporate technology. While I have made lesson plans in the past many of them the topic was given to me and they were basic. However, this was the first lesson plan that I made where I go to not just pick my own topic but also had to do more than just make a lesson for students but find a way to use technology to make the lesson plan fun and engsing for students.
